He then became the Grand Master and reformed the Brotherhood, made it underground.

Assassin's Creed II

Set in Italy during Renaissance, Ezio Auditore, friend of Leonardo Da vinci and Niccolò Machiavelli, was the main character for 3 games.
Most of the game took place in Florence, he recovered all of Altair's Codex. In the last mission he entered the Vault od Isu under Vatican City and met Minerva.

Set during the American Revolution, Connor's is a mix of Native Indian and England in America. His father, Haytham Kenway, is a Templar Grand Master. Trained by Archilles, he became a Master Assassin. He killed the Colonial Templars, including his father, and reestablished the Colonial Brotherhood.
Dasmon is killed in ending.

After the events in game, he setup the England Brotherhood. He is the father of Haytham Kenway, grandfather of Connor.
Last game with Daemon's ancestor as the main character.

Set during the American Revolution (7 Years War), Shay is an Assassin in North Atlantic and turned Templar in order to stop the Brotherhood's plan for mass destruction (using the Precursor's Tree of Eden).

Haytham Kenway (the father of Connor, AC III's main character) inducted him to the Templars Order in New York. Shay's mission in the ending is to kill Arno's father in AC Unity.
This game took place around a little bit earlier than AC III. A spiritual successor of Black Flag, naval war also played an important element.
